Divorce Support Group for South Asian Women – a divorce support group for women in the process of getting divorced or have been recently divorced. The process of a divorce for South Asian Women has its own challenges and a lot of shame is experienced by women. Many go to great lengths to conceal their divorced status. Self-esteem issues also come into play which impact the mental fitness of a women. The goal of this group is to provide a safe space for women to share their journey with other women who are going through similar experiences, to explore solutions to cope and manage with anxiety and any depressive symptoms. This is not a social group. The focus will be on healing and coping with the transition of being single again in a healthy manner.

 


Put Anxiety in Its Place is an 8-week group built on a foundation of mindfulness and CBT. Group members will learn about anxiety and develop practical tools for managing it on the spot while establishing a mindfulness practice to shift their experience and relationship with anxiety.


 

Process painting workshops with Elizabeth let you tune into your intuition, expand your creativity and express your inner self. No artistic ability required – just play with paint and see what happens.


Tricia’s Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills Training Groups  are a wonderful adjunct to individual therapy for clients with difficulty regulating their emotions.  Skills groups cover the following modules:  Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation and Interpersonal Effectiveness.


 

This 20-week Social Anxiety Group, led by Cheryl, offers a comprehensive approach to reducing social anxiety for adults. Through this multi-faceted approach you will gain the skills and support you need to understand and manage your anxiety, deepen your understanding of your anxiety, learn how to use hypnosis and visualization to manage your anxiety, and increase your ability to make friends. This group will be a practical hands-on approach to social anxiety that will also involve going out to public places to practice the techniques learned.

 


Kera’s Social Skills Groups for Children will be starting March 7th 2016, and will continue ongoing during the school year! We will cover communication, expressing feelings, empathy, friendship building, increasing self-esteem, problem solving, active listening, assertiveness, dealing with bullies, managing conflict, and more! Groups will be limited to 4 members to provide personalized attention to each child, and will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. Mondays 4:00-5:30 pm. – 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders, and Saturdays 2:00-4:00 pm. – 1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders.


 

Terryann’s DOING LIFE Eating Disorder Group for Women focuses on reducing obsessive thoughts about food and weight, increasing positive body and self image, reducing negative thought process and improving positive experience, increasing effectiveness and satisfaction in relationships, developing healthy coping skills and creating a healthy lifestyle.


 

In Holly’s 8-week group, The Daring Way, you will learn about living wholeheartedly; cultivating authenticity, self-compassion, resilience, gratitude, joy, intuition, faith, creativity, play, calm, rest and laughter.  We will talk about the myth that vulnerability is weakness and how, in fact, it is our best measure of courage and the birthplace of love, connection, and belonging.

 


Crossing the Bridge Workshop, led by Vicky, is for couples wanting to deepen their connection and improve their communication skills.

 


 

Men today have few places to effectively address complex issues central to their experience which can lead to a sense of isolation, pent up feelings, reactivity, confusion or disconnection from self and others. This Men’s Group, led by Jamie Moran, will provide common ground to:
• Access and recognize feelings through non-judgmental, non-shaming exploration.
• Develop a more intimate understanding and acceptance of oneself and others.
• Connect with men encountering similar experiences in a supportive and safe yet challenging environment.
• Acknowledge and explore potentially taboo subjects including competition, anger, sexuality and envy.
• Address life/work balance in more effective ways.
• Work toward more satisfying and positive relationships with both women and men.
• Explore issues of trust and how they play out regularly with many men.


 

Janelle’s group, Women: Our Bodies, Beliefs and Relationships, Rewriting Your Body Script, is a six week group, meeting once a week to deeply address and explore women and their relationship to their bodies and how to overcome the negative beliefs that have developed around them. Diane’s Women’s Infertility Support Group meets every other Wednesday morning Topics include; IUI, IVF cycling, repeat miscarriage, third party reproduction and integrated healing approaches such as mindfulness meditation. We will discuss the impact infertility has had on your relationships, work with challenging feelings, and how treatment impacts your mind and body. Participants and leader act as resources to each other in the practical matters of navigating clinics and agencies. Diane will lead participants through a variety of mindfulness-based techniques that can be used for coping with ongoing, day-to-day stress. A strong emphasis on self-renewal, self-care and self-compassion will be at the heart of the group.


 

Saira’s Past Life Regression workshop is for anyone who wants to release old patterns and develop the full potential for a joyous and successful life. Often we feel stuck and do not understand what’s stopping us from creating the life we desire. This workshop will help you understand belief systems, recurring patterns, roots of fear, phobias, illnesses, and more.  Regardless of your belief in the reality of past lives, the experiences from past life regressions surface from the depths of your subconscious mind. Working with this material helps you see your life in a new light and improve your understanding of underlying issues.
